BioVision Introduces Two New Assay Kits: Enolase Activity & PicoProbe™ NADPH Quantitation Kits
Enolase Activity Colorimetric/Fluorometric Assay Kit (Catalog # K691-100) - 100 assays: Enolase also called 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydrolase or 2-phosphoglycerate dehydratase, is a key enzyme in glycolysis. It converts 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) & also catalyzes the reverse reaction, PEP to 2-phosphoglycerate under anabolic conditions during gluconeogenesis. This enzyme exists in all organisms, which can undergo glycolysis. Besides its role in glycolysis, enolase has other functions too. Recent studies have shown that increased activity of enolase is associated with tumor invasion and metastasis; therefore, precise measurement of enolase activity may be of great interest for tumor diagnosis and prognosis. In BioVision’s Enolase Activity Assay Kit, enolase catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate, which is subsequently used to generate an intermediate product. The intermediate productstoichiometrically reacts with OxiRed™ probe to generate color (OD 570 nm) or fluorescence (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm).
Key Features and Benefits of the Kit:
- Only kit on the market to measure enolase activity
- Colorimetric (OD 570 nm) or Fluorometric (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm) quantification
- Useful for both animal tissues as well as adherent & suspension cells
- Detects enolase activity less than 0.04 mU in a variety of samples
- Can be used for analysis of glycolytic metabolism, mechanistic studies of various cancers, screening anti-cancer drugs.

PicoProbe™ NADPH Quantitation Fluorometric Assay Kit (Catalog # K349-100) 100 assays: NADP (nicotinamide dinucleotide) is a major electron donor for anabolic reactions such as lipid and nucleic acid synthesis. The reduced form, NADPH is a cofactor for many redox enzymes. It is of increasing interest to be able to measure low level of intracellular NADPH. BioVision’s PicoProbe™ NADPH Quantitation Assay kit provides a highly sensitive method to detect intracellular NADPH. NADH is not detected as the NADPH Recycling Enzyme Mix specifically recognizes NADPH in the enzyme recycling reaction.
Key Features and Benefits of the kit:
- The most sensitive NADPH assay kit on the market
- Fluorometric quantification (Ex/Em = 535/587 nm)
- Useful for both animal tissues as well as adherent & suspension cells
- Detects less than 40 nM NADPH in a variety of samples
- Can be used for analysis of metabolism & cell signaling
