Information Security Body reaffirms Strategic Partnership with Data Erasure Organisation.

PORT TALBOT, U.K. -- London, UK – September 9^th, 2013. A leading European data erasure company has again teamed up with Europe’s premier organisation dedicated to highlighting IT security risks when disposing of assets. Their joint aim is to set the highest standards in the IT asset disposal (ITAD) industry.

Tabernus offers a range of hardware and software based solutions to erase data that are offered through a network of strategic partners throughout the globe. While ADISA (the Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance) are the owners of an Industry Security Standard for IT Asset Disposal designed to help improve service quality, raise professionalism and promote re-use within the IT Disposal channel. ADISA also work with data controllers and end user organisations to help educate and improve awareness of the issues within IT asset disposal.

The two organisations have entered into an agreement under which ADISA will develop a code of practice which can be issued to Tabernus Synergy members. This will include access to an online self-assessment tool to help the Tabernus Synergy programme members measure their current process against a set of key criteria.

Meanwhile, Tabernus will encourage its Tabernus Synergy programme partners to join ADISA as an affiliate member and seek ADISA certification where applicable.

ADISA have recently announced their expansion into North America working with Government organisations, ITAD’s and commercial end users to improve data-handling measures as well as data-erasure security.
