Jordanian company Al-Faiha for Engineering Products and the US-based W. R. Grace celebrated 25 years of cooperation by organizing a seminar on “Specialized Concrete & Concrete Decorative Systems (Pieri)” at the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel.

Some 150 experts in the cement and concrete industry from 12 countries participated in the one-day seminar, which included three lectures delivered by a team of specialists from W. R. Grace and Pieri.

The lectures tackled the importance of water proofing in the Middle East to protect concrete structures, with the lecturers introducing W. R. Grace’s new advances in the field.

The Pieri experts also highlighted the new advances in the decorative art of concrete structures and pavements.

Speaking at the event’s opening ceremony, Mr. Laith Habboubi, the Commercial Director of W. R. Grace in the Middle East and India, outlined the international activities of W. R. Grace and its work in the Middle East.

Engineer Ramzi Kandalaft, the CEO of Al-Faiha for Engineering Products, welcomed the participants, citing the 25-year-old partnership between Al-Faiha and W. R. Grace as a model of success in a turbulent region.

“This year marks our 25th anniversary of cooperation between Al-Faiha and W. R. Grace. Twenty-five years of hard work, persistence, dedication, cooperation in a volatile region full of surprises … nonetheless, I must say, success,” Mr. Kandalaft said.
