Fashion Window Treatments Celebrates Six Years as an Online Retailer
Fashion Window Treatments (FWT Inc.), a custom drapery workroom and industry leader in the fabrication of custom draperies, window treatments and bedding, is celebrating its sixth anniversary this month. Its unique marketing concept has brought these and many other home décor products straight to customer’s homes, via the internet. “It’s been an exciting six years watching the business grow” says owner Jonathan Wilken, “even in today’s challenging economic climate.” Fashion Window Treatments has been able to establish a strong online presence and a loyal customer base. “Search engines are an integral part of online retailing, but word of mouth and customer referrals still generate a significant amount of traffic to our website,” says Mr. Wilken.
Once the customer is on the website, they will find an abundance of home décor styles and fabrics to choose from. Every year, FWT adds to its portfolio of valance and drapery styles. With well over one hundred styles of various window treatments, there is something for everyone. Styles range from clean lines and contemporary décor to traditional valances adorned with decorative trimmings. “We have price points for everyone’s budget. Just because our products are made to order, does not mean our prices are inflated,” says Mr. Wilken.
Unlike other online retailers who sell similar products, Fashion Window Treatments does all of its own fabrication in house in its 20,000 square foot production facility in Fredericksburg Virginia. “We are proud to say all of our products are sewn by skilled seamstresses here in the United States. In addition, FWT, has a dedicated customer service line where one can actually speak live to a design consultant. Exceptional customer service has always been a cornerstone of our company,” states Mr. Wilken.
